Jayesh A. Punater
Founder & CEO
Jayesh Punater is the founder and CEO of Gravitas and has more than 22 years of experience working in entrepreneurial, high growth companies servicing the financial industry. Jayesh focuses on Gravitas’ high-growth strategy and, in concert with the management team,oversees the company’s operations. Prior to founding Gravitas, he held management positions in several technology consulting and manufacturing companies, including New York based system integrator, DNA, and high-end workstations manufacturer 68000 Inc. Jayesh has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and has extensive executive training in marketing, finance, and management. He has lectured on entrepreneurship at Fordham University.
Senior Managing Director, Co-sourcing Services
Mark Seaman is responsible for providing high end business consulting services with respect to software platform integration and best business practices for front, middle and back office operational workflow. Prior to joining Gravitas, Mr. Seaman was a Partner and CIO for Spectrum Global Fund Administration. At Spectrum, he was instrumental in the formation of VCOO fund administration services offering and the creation of the required technology platform. He also served as a Vice President for SS & C Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of software solutions to the hedge fund community. Additionally, Mr. Seaman is a former Principal of Shepro Braun where he oversaw the product development of industry recognized applications such as Total Return and Antares.
Managing Director, India Operations
Sunil Wadhwa has been with Gravitas for six years, holding several positions within the organization. Recently, he was promoted to Managing Director. He has been overseeing the global expansion of Gravitas’ offices, particularly in Mumbai, and continues to enhance our international presence. In his tenure at Gravitas, he has also held roles in sales, client services, and internal operations. He also specializes in the areas of business continuity planning, helping many organizations mitigate their operational risk. Prior to joining Gravitas, Sunil was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs and Co. for seventeen years. With Goldman, he worked in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Chicago and New York where he was part of the team responsible for providing technology for several company departments including Controllers, Risk and Legal. He received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and an Engineering degree for Delhi School of Engineering, Delhi University.
Managing Director, New Ventures
Steve Richard is responsible for identifying and nurturing new ventures at Gravitas. Steve previously led the firm’s Risk & Analytical Services effort and Business Consulting Group, using his expertise in design, development and implementation of tailored outsourcing services and technology solutions to help clients meet strategic and operational performance requirements. Before joining Gravitas, Steve was a partner and served as Chief Operating Officer for Spectrum Global Fund Administration where he developed and implemented a service-based organizational structure, in addition to leading the firm’s globalization effort by opening offices in the Cayman Islands, Bangalore, India and London. Steve also worked at Investors Bank & Trust and for US Trust of NY, Mutual Funds Services Company and was an audit manager at Price Waterhouse.
Executive Director, Controller
Olga Noy oversees financial management reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and cash management. She is also responsible for implementing policies and systems for monitoring financial flow and best practices. Olga oversees the offshore Accounting arm of Gravitas based in Ahmedabad, India. She has been with the company since its inception, and has been involved in various aspects of business operations as well. Olga has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Executive Director, Systems Integration
Pat Mullevey heads Gravitas’ Systems Integration and Technical Support Group. Prior to Gravitas in 2011, Pat was a Senior Systems Engineer at GoldenTree Asset Management where he implemented and maintained GoldenTree’s private Cloud and overall IT infrastructure. As a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, he was responsible for managing the network and infrastructure for 270 recruiting stations as Information Systems Manager for Northeast recruiting. Pat also managed many network and systems deployments in operations overseas. Pat holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel Military College of South Carolina.
Executive Director, Operations
Christopher Burnett oversees firm operations, creating value for clients by ensuring that the right
technology, process and people are in place. Chris joined the Gravitas team in 2011 with the formation
of Gravitas Chicago – a joint venture with his former firm, Apogee Strategies LLC, in Chicago. Chris
formally joined Gravitas in January 2013 when the Chicago JV was successfully integrated. In addition to
his operations role, Chris has supported the Systems Integration team as Interim Director of Integration
and Support Operations. Chris was the Manager and CEO of Apogee Strategies LLC, a technology and
operations consultancy, for 13 years prior to joining Gravitas; he has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and
Executive Director, Human Resources
Laurie Horsman oversees the Human Resources function at Gravitas and plays an important role in shaping the firm’s culture, as well as helping it attract and retain top talent. Her global responsibilities include learning and development, organizational development, talent acquisition and compensation and benefits. Prior to joining the firm, Laurie held senior HR positions with Borderfree and FreshDirect. Laurie has a BS Degree in Mass Communications from St. Cloud State University.
Executive Director, Business Development
Derek Huyser is responsible for new business development and partnerships at Gravitas. Derek joined the Gravitas team in 2011 after a joint venture with his former firm, Apogee Strategies LLC, was successfully integrated. In 2000 Derek joined Apogee as a near-founding partner and was responsible for guiding the process of articulating Apogee’s market message and facilitating new relationships. Derek has extensive experience in implementation oversight and project decision-making. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Computer Engineering.
